The Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday that Pentagon employees, as well as unit heads, participated in the creation of biological weapons in clandestine laboratories in Ukraine.
"The facts revealed prove that the kyiv regime was seriously considering the possibility of using biological weapons against the population of Donbas and Russia. In the near future, we will provide more details on the results of the analysis of the documents," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement, as quoted by Sputnik.
Faced with this situation, the Ministry of Defense asked Washington for clarification on the true purposes of the laboratories of US origin, and that an international investigation be initiated. Also, the Russian Defense published a list of the creators of biological weapons in Ukraine
“One of the key figures is Robert Pope, at the time a DTRA employee and director of the Joint Threat Reduction Program, whose purpose was to engage the post-Soviet space states in military biological activities. He is also the author of the idea to create the Central Repository of Especially Dangerous Microorganisms in kyiv », the general added.
Joanna Winthrol, head of the DTRA office in Ukraine, was in charge of coordinating and selecting the executors of biological weapons projects in that country, Kirillov said.
"Under his direct supervision, the US projects UP-4, UP-6 and UP-8 were implemented to study deadly pathogens, including anthrax, Congolese fever and leptospirosis," he explained.
«Next, the Ukrainian division of Black and Veach, headed by Lance Lippencott. He is also the main contact person for officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," Kirillov said.
Pentagon Implications
In the documents, Russia detected more than 30 biolaboratories of the Pentagon in Ukraine.
It should be remembered that, in mid-March, the ministerial entity revealed that the investment fund Rosemont Seneca, belonging to Hunter Biden – son of the president of the United States, Joe Biden, financed the Pentagon Military Biology Program in Ukraine.
Such projects achieved funding thanks to the efforts of the son of the US president, Hunter Biden, which is clear from the correspondence between him and Pentagon employees, according to Kirillov.
Hunter Biden had raised funds for the companies Black and Veatch and Metabiota in charge of carrying out research with plague bacteria and anthrax, he said.
In this context, the Russian official stressed that the operation in Ukraine made it possible to dismantle the operation of five laboratories of these companies.
"The participation of the aforementioned laboratories in the development of projects commissioned by the US military entity has been verified," the military officer emphasized.
In the documents found by Russia, it was warned that, for the United States, the priority of the laboratories was the "study of a particularly dangerous anthrax pathogen."
Anthrax is a serious infectious disease caused by a bacterium, which can be found naturally in the soil and commonly affects pets and wildlife around the world.
Development of drones with toxic substances
The US developed unmanned aerial vehicles that could carry capsules containing poisonous, radioactive and narcotic substances, Kirillov said.
He recalled that the US Patent and Trademark Office issued document number 8.967.029 for an unmanned aerial vehicle that can spread infected insects in the air.
“The description of the patent states that this device can be used to destroy or disable enemy forces without risk to US troops (…) the possibility of equipping capsules with poisonous, radioactive, narcotic substances, as well as infectious disease pathogens is shown” Kirillov denounced.
