At the Urbina CDI facilities in the Petare parish of Sucre municipality, the Miranda state cataract surgery plan began. It is estimated that approximately 500 patients will be treated, living in the 21 municipalities within the state.
Most of the patients are older adults who applied through the Good Government 1x10 System, created by President Nicolás Maduro to address the needs of the population.
To oversee the development of this surgical plan, Dr. Morella Camacho, Sole Health Authority of Miranda State, and Deputy Pedro Infante, First Vice President of the National Assembly and head of the Antonio José de Sucre plan, toured the facilities of the La Urbina CDI, where they spoke with patients and their families, who expressed their gratitude for the operations and the treatment received.
“We started this cataract surgery plan hand in hand with the Antonio José de Sucre Plan, together with our representative Pedro Infante and following the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro, the patient recruitment process was carried out through the 1×10 of Good Government, thus, based on the requests received at the different health centers, today we begin cataract operations in the state of Miranda, using the operating rooms of hospitals and Popular Clinics and Comprehensive Care Centers (CDI), where all preoperative examinations were also carried out, for the care of our people,” said Dr. Camacho.
For his part, the head of the Antonio José de Sucre Plan, Pedro Infante, said that it is estimated that around 500 people in Miranda will be treated for this condition, 100 of whom are residents of the Sucre municipality.
"This is a surgical plan carried out in perfect coordination with the three levels of government, articulated with the fourth line of transformation, and directly with the municipalities, with the main objective of restoring visual health to the people, to the population, to our senior citizens. In this way, we continue to develop the Antonio José de Sucre Plan, as President Nicolás Maduro indicated: less desk work and more territory, working alongside and for the people," Infante said.
Omaira Corredor, one of the patients, said she is very grateful for her operation: "I'm going to recover my vision, and that makes me very happy. Thanks to all the authorities."

Hello, greetings. I'd like a little more information to see if these sessions are active and if someone from Sucre State could participate in them.
