During Women's History Month, Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Sunday that the Bank of Venezuela will provide $70 million in loans to women entrepreneurs.
In a message posted on her social media, President Rodríguez said that she is “filled with pride that women continue to pave the way with hard work and perseverance,” and emphasized that the construction of a prosperous Venezuela is also driven “by women’s hands.”
The financing program is part of the policies to support female entrepreneurship promoted by the Executive.
Earlier, President (e) Rodríguez issued a moving message on the occasion of International Women's DayIn which he acknowledged the tireless work of Venezuelan women and called for the consolidation of a common agenda that prioritizes collective well-being and social harmony.
The president expressed her deep respect for the women of the nation and the world, underscoring their crucial role in guiding the nation's destiny. Rodríguez emphasized that female leadership is the driving force behind achieving the stability the country currently demands.
She also reaffirmed the historic mission of Venezuelan women to build a new model of society together. "Out of love for the Republic that we are called to build together."
It is worth noting that Venezuelan women have demonstrated a high capacity for resilience, becoming great and important promoters of initiatives emanating from the National Executive that strengthen participatory democracy.
