The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, reported that hotel occupancy rates have already exceeded 90% in various parts of the country following the start of Holy Week.
According to projections presented by the official, this holiday is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic seasons of the year, directly boosting the economies of regions such as Nueva Esparta, Anzoátegui and La Guaira.
In response to the large influx of tourists, the Ministry of Tourism, through the National Tourism Institute, launched a strategic training plan. This initiative targets Tourism Service Providers (TSPs), who receive technical training with the aim of consolidating Venezuela as a safe and diverse tourist destination.
Cabello explained that they are working in a coordinated manner to guarantee standards of excellence. "Our goal is for the catalog of destinations, which ranges from the coasts of Falcón to our religious routes, to be synonymous with quality and family enjoyment," the minister emphasized.
He added that the economic reactivation will include concerts and cultural activities in ten states, including Yaracuy, Lara, Portuguesa, Aragua and Zulia.
This professionalization policy aims to ensure that tourists, both national and international, receive a first-class service at every point in Venezuela during the current Holy Week holiday.
