The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that starting Monday, October 20, the delivery of 20 works will begin. He provided this information during his speech at the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, sectoral and state chapter, from the Teresa Carreño Theater.
"Next Monday, we'll begin delivering 20,000 completed projects funded for community circuits. Fields, schools, health facilities, peace centers, infrastructure, roads. 20,000 projects that no ministry or governor would have undertaken. So, if the funds are well managed, they'll go a little bit for everyone," he said.
The president explained that this year should close with a GDP of nearly $150 billion, exceeding the revenues of 2010 and 2012, which were $57 billion.
"We're moving that economy forward with 20 percent of what our previous income was, seeking balance. With what? With production, productivity, radical import substitution. Do everything in Venezuela and continue investing in housing, education, healthcare, and community councils."
That's why he called on all national and international sectors to bring the truth about Venezuela to the world.
He emphasized that Venezuela has found its footing in its own economy. "You are all prosperous and working, and all business owners, large and small, entrepreneurs, and merchants, are excited about the good end of the year that Venezuela will have this quarter, the fourth quarter of the year," he explained to the country's productive sectors.
Fishing sector consolidates
"How has fishing activity recovered in Venezuela? The numbers are good this year, with growth of over 7% in both fishing and industrial processing, and progressing at a good pace," announced the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
During the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, a sectoral and state chapter, the head of state emphasized the role of productive actors linked to the sector. "Here are those who know more than I do about this: the country's industrialists, the country's businesspeople, business owners, and union leaders."
He also recognized the efforts of coastal communities. “The fishermen of the Caribbean and Venezuela fill us with pride. This is an example of an indomitable people, a people who fear nothing and no one, and all they want is to work, produce, grow, and prosper in peace.”
It is worth mentioning that at the Second National Meeting of the Tejiendo Redes Program, held in September, more than 200 women fishermen and aquaculture farmers presented 30 productive projects arising from regional and local assemblies, with the participation of Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, along with the Minister of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo.
The vice president noted that Blue Venezuela products have reached 33 countries, with a 225% increase in international sales, consolidating the positioning of fishing as a strategic axis of development by 2025.
