The acting president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reaffirmed this Tuesday that channels of communication of respect and courtesy have been established with the Government of the United States.
"I reaffirm what President Donald Trump has said: that we have established channels of communication of respect and courtesy, both with the President of the United States and with Secretary Marco Rubio, with whom we are establishing a working agenda," he said.
During the handover of the Nephrology Service at the University Hospital of Caracas, Rodríguez highlighted the Bolivarian Government's willingness to resolve differences with the United States administration through political and diplomatic channels.
In this regard, he announced the release of the country's sovereign resources, which will allow for significant investment in hospital equipment, "equipment that we are acquiring in the United States and other countries," as well as equipment for the electricity sector and equipment for the gas industry in Venezuela.
Rodríguez reported that the resources will go into two funds already announced; the first of them, "to address the social needs of our people, the income of workers, health, education, food, social protection in general (...) And a second sovereign fund that must address the entire situation of public services and infrastructure in Venezuela in terms of electricity, water, roads."
Likewise, the acting president announced the creation of a public digital platform where any citizen can log in, see the projects being carried out and the income being reported there, resulting from, "in this case, the unblocking of Venezuela's resources."
Furthermore, he denounced the disinformation campaigns of transnational media companies, asserting that the truth about Venezuela prevails over defamation, always prioritizing the stability and peace of the Republic.
Finally, Rodríguez highlighted the importance of establishing a diplomatic dialogue to resolve controversies on sensitive issues "and other less sensitive issues, but which should be on the agenda of what should be respectful relations within the framework of the international community between sovereign and independent countries."
