New rules for covid-19 to enter Venezuela

Inac informs that as of May 30 new rules apply to enter the country

Through its Twitter account, the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) @InacVzla informs that as of May 30, new health regulations related to the control of covid-19 will begin to govern in order to enter the country by air.

The new provisions mean that people who have their covid-19 vaccines up to date do not need to present a negative PCR.

In order for the vaccination certificate against covid-19 to be valid when entering Venezuela, it must be presented "in physical or digital format with a QR code or other validation method, whose last dose has been at least 14 days before the date of entry to the country. Having completed more than two hundred and seventy (270) days after the last dose of the complete scheme, a booster dose will be required”, explains the Communiqué from the aeronautical authority.

"The passenger who does not present the aforementioned vaccination scheme must show the negative result of a molecular test (PCR - RT) with a maximum validity of seventy-two (72) hours upon arrival."

Additionally, "The passenger must undergo the PCR - RT test at the airport of entry to the national territory from 5 years of age".

Likewise, the Inac points out that passengers must use the face mask in all phases of the flight and that the biosecurity protocols related to social distancing, protection elements and hand hygiene remain in force to mitigate, contain and avoid the effects of covid-19 .
