Spanish airline Air Europa will resume its direct flights to Caracas this Tuesday, with five weekly frequencies, while Iberia will do so next Thursday, with three flights a week, after two months of disrupting its operations due to the damage to the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía due to the seismic doublet of June 24.
In that regard, Air Europa will again connect with the capital on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, once the full availability of the terminals at Maiquetía airport is guaranteed, AVN reported.
The company reported that it will end the special operation activated during the last two months, in which flights were diverted to the Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia as an alternative, while the refurbishment works at the main airport were completed.
For its part, Iberia indicated that it will return to Caracas on September 3, but with only three weekly flights: on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.
In the case of Plus Ultra, the airline reported on its website that its operations to Venezuela, through the Arturo Michelena airport in the city of Valencia (VE), will continue until September 27 and that from September 8, every Tuesday it will have the only frequency that will operate for the moment with the Caracas airport.
The measure comes after the restoration of domestic and international flights to 25% at Maiquetía International Airport.
