At the Coche Market, they're transforming shipping containers into modern shops.

Retailers will move from makeshift stalls to functional facilities.

The old makeshift stalls of the Coche Market will be replaced by modern commercial premises, after the transformation of shipping containers into spaces suitable for commerce.

In this regard, the company Integral de Mercados y Almacenes, CA (Inmerca) reported on its Instagram account that this work is part of the reorganization and optimization plan for the retail infrastructure in the sector known as El Tercero.

“We are implementing a plan to completely transform retail sales in the El Tercero sector. Our team of blacksmiths is working tirelessly. We will move from makeshift stalls to functional facilities. With the support of Mayor Carmen Meléndez, we continue to provide quick and effective solutions on the ground,” the publication states.

Currently, the adaptation work is concentrated in the Playa Pescado area, where workers are cutting, welding and modifying the metal structures to convert them into safe and operational spaces.

These actions aim to improve the working environment for merchants and boost the local economy, as part of the Libertador Municipality's management.
