The FundaFarmacia chain continues its rapid and organized growth. On September 1st, it formally inaugurated its 14th location, situated in the Medical Teaching Clinic attached to the University Hospital of Caracas, in the University City of Caracas, according to a press release.
Cinthya Sagues, CEO of this pharmacy chain, announced that the expansion plan aims to add 20 stores by the end of 2026. She made it clear that their focus is on growth in social spaces, forging strategic alliances to transform the quality of life for those most in need.
According to Sagues, it is deeply meaningful for them to offer 24-hour care, at the best prices, to patients of the University Hospital of Caracas, as well as to the entire community of the century-old institution.
For his part, José Gregorio Lugo, administrative sub-director of the University Hospital of Caracas, said he was pleased with this public-private agreement that strengthens the health system: "It is an achievement for the UCV to have a pharmacy with affordable prices that serves the entire community, both day and night."
In this regard, Lugo highlighted that it is a true success that this has also allowed for the rescue of an integral area of the aforementioned outpatient clinic that was in a state of significant disrepair.
Speaking on behalf of Dr. Luis Lira, general director of HUC, Lugo detailed that the entire air conditioning system was restored, and significant contributions were also made in the technological field and the restoration of gardens and other surrounding infrastructure.
Both Sagues and Lugo agreed on the importance of bringing the pharmacy closer to the university, so that patients who go to the University Hospital can attend to any emergency from the location.
