The Minister of Education, Hector Rodriguez, inspected the comprehensive rehabilitation work being carried out at the Centro América National Educational Unit, located in the Macarao parish, Caracas.
During the day, the minister pointed out that 1.500 educational establishments are being addressed simultaneously throughout the country: 1.000 affected by the double seismic event and another 500 that were already part of the national government's comprehensive care plan.
Rodríguez explained that, in parallel, state, municipal and school authorities are advancing a special rezoning plan, with the goal of ensuring that, in the event of the contingency, student enrollment is fully covered.
It is worth remembering that the national government is making progress in the comprehensive rehabilitation of schools after the seismic events in preparation for the return to classes, scheduled for September 14th.
