Caribbean Airlines resumes flights between Trinidad and Venezuela on October 31

It will facilitate business travel and tourism, the airline said in a statement.

Caribbean Airlines announced this Friday that it will resume commercial passenger flights between Trinidad and Tobago and Caracas on October 31, after more than a year of temporary interruption in its flights to the country.

This route will restore "direct air connectivity between our neighboring countries and facilitate business travel and tourism," the airline said in a statement, adding that it has already begun selling tickets for the first day of the route's reopening.

Although no details were offered regarding the frequency of the route between Piarco and Caracas airports, Caribbean Airlines previously operated a weekly flight on Saturdays, with same-day round trips.

The Trinidad and Tobago airline suspended its operations between the two countries in September 2025, canceling flights BW 300 and BW 301 scheduled for the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th of that month to Simón Bolívar International Airport, without offering any clear explanations.

Recently, relations between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela have strengthened. President Delcy Rodríguez and Trinidadian Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and expressed their mutual appreciation.

The return of this direct route coincides with the expansion of Caribbean Airlines' international network. The airline plans to inaugurate flights between Tobago and Toronto on October 25, establishing a weekly direct connection, in addition to operating charter flights to Panama.

Through its official Instagram account, the airline confirmed: “Starting October 31, 2026, enjoy nonstop flights between Trinidad and Caracas every Saturday. Whether it’s to reunite with loved ones, revisit your favorite places, or explore new destinations, don’t wait any longer! Book your trip and get ready for takeoff.”
