Caracas Metro specifies protocol for the entry of animals into the system

The regulations establish restrictions for pets and guarantee access for properly identified assistance animals.

The Caracas Metro System reminded users of the current regulations for the entry of animals into its facilities, as part of the measures aimed at preserving the safety, operational efficiency and well-being of those who use the mass transit system daily.

According to the user regulations, outlined in a statement shared on their social media, pets are not allowed on the Caracas Metro system, because the high volume of people, the noise and the dynamics of the stations and trains can generate situations of stress, disorientation or incidents that compromise both the well-being of the animals and the safety of the passengers.

The institution clarified that assistance or companion animals are guaranteed access to the system, provided they have the corresponding certificate and valid identification. In these cases, Metro staff will activate established protocols to provide guidance and assistance during the journey.

Similarly, the Caracas Metro rejected any act of physical or verbal aggression against its workers.

The information was released following the events recorded at the Gato Negro station, where an operator was affected while performing her duties.

Following this situation, the statement details, medical care protocols and legal support were activated before the competent authorities.
