A mass was held at the IVIC in honor of the martyrs who died in the US attack.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, emphasized that the unity of the people is fundamental to moving forward after the bombing.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, reported through social media that a liturgical act was carried out in honor of the martyrs who fell in the bombing of January 3.

"In a solemn mass, we gathered as a scientific community at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research to pay tribute to our martyrs, victims of the vile bombing perpetrated a month ago against our beloved Republic," Jiménez wrote on his Telegram channel.

Likewise, tribute was paid to the workers of IVIC, who were also victims of the US attack. "We honor our brave IVIC staff, who from the very first moment demonstrated their love for this institute, remaining to protect the facilities and beginning the repair of the damage caused by the illegal and criminal attack," he stated.

The minister also noted that Tuesday marks one month since the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. For this reason, she called for national unity as an essential pillar for the defense of sovereignty.

"My invitation is to take care of the Republic and sow the seeds of the future, fostering the development of new generations through a liberating scientific education, deeply linked to the needs of our people," he wrote in the post.

Finally, Jiménez emphasized that "every rock we lift today from the rubble of the bombing and destruction should become the foundation of a scientific institution that is deeply humane, loving, and committed to its people."
