More than 10 kilometers of roadway on Trunk Road 005 are being restored with maneuvers that are specifically concentrated on the section from the curve of the El Jabillo sector towards El Salto, between the municipalities of Tinaquillo and Lima Blanco in the state of Cojedes, with the aim of improving the roads of this plains entity.
The technical approach began with milling the deteriorated layer and continues progressively with the placement and compaction of 150 tons of hot asphalt, "using a work plan that includes a phased methodology to optimize the durability of the corridor. The first phase involves scarification and profiling, which consisted of the deep removal of the affected surface layer to level the base," reported Natalí Zapata, state director of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation.
“In a second phase, which is the continuous paving, the hot asphalt mix was applied and, finally, the final conditioning which also includes technical signage through longitudinal striping and installation of road safety devices,” Zapata explained.
She also noted that this project is being carried out by the Cojedes State Government through the company Esserca, with continuous supervision and technical management control from the State Directorate of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation. “In a coordinated effort under the premise of a single government, we reaffirm the goal of providing an ideal route for the transport of goods, crops, and passengers throughout the state,” highlighted the state director of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transportation.
