Jean Carlos Galicia, 51, a resident of Caracas, died by drowning at Los Cocos Beach, Caraballeda parish, after entering the sea despite warnings about the current bathing restriction on the coasts of La Guaira.
Galicia was in the state carrying out work related to the reconstruction efforts following the double earthquake on June 24.
Security and rescue teams responded to the scene after receiving the alert, but upon arrival confirmed that the man showed no vital signs. The body was taken into custody by the authorities for further investigation.
Eduardo Pérez, known as “Tata”, a local surfer with more than 40 years at Los Cocos Beach, explained that the space is not suitable for bathers due to its maritime conditions.
“This beach is only for surfers, not for swimmers. It is totally dangerous, extremely dangerous,” he warned.
Pérez noted that he remains in the area alerting those who try to enter the sea and added that the presence of surfers has also decreased after the earthquake, due to the impact the event had on the community.
Given this situation, the call remains to respect the restrictions established on the coasts of La Guaira and to avoid entering closed areas or areas unsuitable for swimming, as a measure to prevent further tragedies.

Greetings, I hope you are well. This Ms. Bachelet is being clear and confirming that she too could not recover those US (UN) offices because she would do the same as the previous and current secretaries-general, which would be to protect the land, the visa, and prevent their bank accounts from being blocked.
