The Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) and Comprehensive Rehabilitation Room (SRI) “Canaima” is the largest in the state and is located in the Miguel Peña parish, south of Valencia, Carabobo.
It plans to serve more than 20.000 patients each quarter, for which it has an operating room area for minor general, trauma and gynecological surgeries, as well as laboratories and radiology, among other services.
Elizabeth Márquez, director of the Canaima Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC), highlighted that the rehabilitation of the site included its complete waterproofing and the provision of state-of-the-art equipment.
The director explained that the place has areas dedicated to children with specialties such as pediatrics and speech therapy, which consists of the incorporation of language therapists for children.
Trauma
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am-2 pm.
Requirements. First come, first served.
Procedure. Staff take and receive the samples.
Diabetic foot
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am.
Requirements. First come, first served.
Procedure. Medical evaluation based on the symptoms presented.
Speech Therapy
Schedule. Mondays starting at 8 am.
Requirements. By appointment only and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Procedure. Medical evaluation based on symptoms.
General surgery
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am.
Requirements. By appointment only and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Procedure. Medical evaluation based on the symptoms presented.
Disability
Schedule: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 2 pm.
Requirements. Appointments are required and patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
Procedure. The doctor performs a patient evaluation and classifies patients according to their disability.
Gynecology
Schedule: Rotating shifts, twice a week.
Requirements. By appointment only, first come, first served.
Procedure. Medical evaluation. Cytology, removal of intrauterine and intradermal contraceptives.
Ultrasound
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am-12 pm.
Requirements. By appointment only, first come, first served.
Procedure. Staff perform the examination in order of arrival and with a medical order.
Pediatrics
Schedule. Wednesdays starting at 8 am.
Requirements. By appointment only, first come, first served.
Procedure. The doctor evaluates the minor in the company of their representative, taking into account the symptoms they present.
Ophthalmology
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 2 pm.
Requirements: By appointment only, one day in advance, and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Procedure. The doctor evaluates the patient and prescribes the treatment to follow, according to the diagnosis.
Dentistry
Hours: Monday to Friday from 8 am.
Requirements. By appointment only and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Procedure. The doctor evaluates the patient, taking into account the symptoms they present.
Nebulization
Hours: Every day, 24 hours.
Requirements. First come, first served, and by level of emergency.
Procedure. The medical staff examines the patient in consultation and orders nebulization.
X-rays
Hours. Monday to Friday from 8 am to 1 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5 pm (emergencies of the Dr. Enrique Tejera Hospital City, patients of the Valencia Mayor's Office).
Requirements. By appointment only and on a first-come, first-served basis, or according to the severity of the emergency.
Procedure. Staff perform X-rays on a first-come, first-served basis with a doctor's order. Patients referred from the City Hospital Emergency Department will be seen first.
