1.500 people reached during health campaign in Guayana Esequiba

A total of 69 health campaigns have been carried out in the Essequibo territory

The Pemon community of San Antonio de Roscio and the San Mino de Bosco community were the indigenous and mining villages served by the medical mission carried out by the Guayana Esequiba Governorate, which provided care in the areas of pediatrics, geriatrics, general medicine, pharmacy and vaccination.

More than 1.500 families from both towns were able to access the routine medical check-up free of charge without having to travel to the state capital, thus increasing the reach of the comprehensive medical campaign.

The governor of Guayana Esequiba, Neil Villamizar, explained that a total of 69 health campaigns have been carried out in the Essequibo territory, as part of the health care plan being implemented in the state.

He also assured that there is a whole medical and logistical contingent to be able to attend to each community, both indigenous and mining in the area.

The regional authority also reported that during the simultaneous events, technical assistance previously requested through the VenApp was delivered, which, according to the spokesperson, "is the execution of a correct national policy where the only priority is to provide satisfactory answers to the community."
