Not to fall into the manipulation and destabilization of the economy and the country, were some of the requests made by the governor of the Guárico state, José Vásquez, to the teachers from Guárico, who came out this Wednesday to march against the blockade and the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States, as well as to deliver various proposals to the regional government.
"We are always open to listen and debate, but we must not fall into manipulation to destabilize and not contribute anything to the country, only to generate chaos," emphasized the regional president, from Bolívar avenue in San Juan de los Morros, a concentration point of the March.
Vásquez specified that more than 900 sanctions implemented by "imperialism" have not allowed the dignity that both the teachers and the health sector deserve, due to the outstanding and hard work that they have developed over the last few years.
union and debate
Vásquez invited all the Guariqueños teachers to the union, meeting and debate, to listen to the demands they wish to raise, in order to generate improvements in the state's educational sector.
Likewise, the governor urged teachers not to abandon schools and high schools, as well as to rejoin the students, to continue advancing towards the Venezuela of growth and progress.
"It is a criminal act that we do not allow our girls and boys to be educated, knowing that education is essential for the development of a municipality, a state and a country (...) Let's guarantee education, keep schools and high schools open," he said .
He specified that the document delivered by the teachers will be elevated to the relevant national instances, to contribute to the social rights of all workers in the country and receive the quickest responses.
deliver document
Making salary dignity effective, requesting all the money blocked in foreign banks and the formation and activation of the "Teacher Dignity" movement for debate and work for the education of the future, are some of the requests presented by the teachers before the regional executive.
Teachers demand to guarantee the signing of the collective contract as a social and economic instrument, which allows the educational union security and responses from the Ministry of Popular Power for Education, in addition to unifying, at the national level, medical, social and loans from Ipasme.
In the same way, in the document they ask to give value to the sovereign Bolívar as an official currency and of economic exchange for the protection of the salary of Venezuelan workers, as well as to give it a stop to inflation and abrupt increases in products in the country's businesses.
"Confident in your management, citizen governor and, protected by the union of the educational union, we deliver this document so that it can be elevated from your hands to Caracas, because today this union asks to continue their work days in peace and with decent wages and sustainable,” said Beatriz Chacín, a teacher from Guárico state.
“No more blockade, no more sanctions, better salaries”, was the rallying cry that the teachers' union maintained throughout the concentration that started from the Plaza Bolívar in the llanera capital.
