Using German technology equipment, they are protecting the electrical system in Camaguán

The installation of the 15 kV recloser, with an investment exceeding $50.000, will guarantee the stability of the electrical grid in the La Unión circuit.

With an investment exceeding $50.000, Camaguán's energy infrastructure was reinforced with the installation of a 15 kV recloser on the main feeder of the La Unión circuit. This device allows for the immediate detection and interruption of faults, ensuring the stability of the electricity supply in the area.

The state-of-the-art German-engineered system isolates faults in real time to prevent isolated incidents from escalating into widespread outages in interconnected communities. It also regulates network variations and reduces voltage fluctuations, protecting household appliances and commercial machinery from potential power surges.

In operational terms, the integration of this device optimizes Corpoelec's emergency response. The system accurately records the type, phase, and exact location of the fault, which expedites the deployment of maintenance crews and accelerates service restoration.

The mayor of Camaguán, Emilio Ávila, highlighted that this is the second recloser installed at the substation during his more than five years in office, emphasizing that the area previously lacked this equipment.

“The optimization of the La Unión circuit is a fundamental achievement for the sectors that rely on this line. By guaranteeing a stable electrical service on this network, we not only safeguard the peace of mind of families, but also provide stability for businesses that depend on a reliable supply to continue operating without interruption,” the local leader stated.
