Nearly 100 children served in the Scientific Vacation Program in Guárico

For three days, the young people learned about robotics, astronomy, and production.

The Scientific and Technological Holiday Plan 2026 engaged about 100 children from Guárico with science and knowledge in an experience of learning, discovery and innovation.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, during three consecutive days held at the Celina Acosta de Viana Educational Complex, located in the city of Calabozo, the young people immersed themselves in a training environment designed to awaken their scientific curiosity and enhance their creative talent from an early age.

The dynamics of the meeting also allowed participants to experience firsthand the impact of science on daily life, consolidating a space for healthy recreation and intellectual growth.

This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (Mincyt) through the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite) of Guárico state, implemented an educational agenda in areas such as robotics, programming, astronomy, physics, mathematics, and computer science. The program strengthened students' concentration and logical reasoning, while also fostering teamwork.

In addition, this vacation program connected innovation with local development through guided visits to agricultural production areas, where young people explored technology applied to farming. During these tours, they learned about school gardens, vermiculture, and the technical management of agricultural products such as papaya, cassava, cucumber, and plantains (plantain, banana, and banana), encouraging their active participation in the country's production system.
