Water boats abound in the city

Thousands of liters of drinking water are wasted in the municipalities of Caracas, due to the large number of breakdowns that occur in pipes in the city's water system.

During a tour carried out by the Últimas Noticias It was found that in the Industrial Zone of Palo Verde, Sucre municipality, a huge boat exists as a result of the rupture of a Hidrocapital main pipeline. The water reaches the back of the Palo Verde Shopping Center.

"This is over a year old, no one has come to monitor the situation, the water boat is undermining the main road. We have collected signatures that have been filed with the competent bodies, but have not given us any response, "said Yeissy Rivas, spokeswoman for the community council for the sector.

José Medina, a worker at the company Impresos Manaure, indicated that “on Sundays the children from the nearby communities bathe in the hole where the water comes out, people come with tanks to fill and others to wash clothes. It is unfair that all this clean water is lost here day and night, and in many homes not a drop comes. ”

To the center of the capital city. At the end of La Paz avenue, before crossing to Morán, there is a sewer from which drinking water constantly flows. In that place, not only do people bathe, but they carry containers with the vital liquid. Through the social network Twitter, users report that in La Candelaria, just in the corner of Ferrenquín, there is another space where water is lost.

Meanwhile, in the Baruta municipality, on Campo Claro avenue and Taborda street near the Urológico de San Román, in Las Mercedes, the same problem occurs.

“On Caroní Street, in Las Mercedes, thousands of liters of water are thrown away every minute. It is truly a shame to see how there are people who do not receive water and yet it is thrown away here,” Wuillender Rodríguez denounced via his Twitter account @wuillender.

Wastewater. Beneath the San Pedro elevated, in Los Chaguaramos, there is a sewage boat that has undermined the street in one of the channels, causing vehicular delay in rush hours.

A similar situation is seen in the Petare vial, diagonal to the Petare Shopping Center, known as Sambilito, where pedestrians must tiptoe through the driest spaces on the street to cross and transit.

On La Salle avenue with av. Rio de Janerio, residents must deal with the stench of a dirty water boat that has lifted the asphalt, and also hinders traffic in the area.

The neighbors ask the competent authorities to carry out the pertinent works to solve the faults.
