Rodríguez: commanders were financed under the guise of alleged NGOs

He assured that Venezuela has become, through social networks, an experiment in actions resulting from hatred and violence.

The President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, stated this Monday that "the gangs of violence, hatred, and extremism" that were activated after the presidential elections of July 28, "were financed entirely under the guise of supposed Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)."

This was stated in the meeting of the national board of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) and the Great Patriotic Pole, in which the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, participated.

At the meeting, Rodriguez said that when the actions and financing of these groups were investigated, "it was discovered that they are financed by organizations of dubious origin from Europe or by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

In this sense, he referred to the reaction of the deputy secretary of state of the United States to the approval of the Venezuelan law that regulates NGOs.

«It has to be that law is very good, for a character like Brian Nicols to have come out on Monday to criticize the law regulating NGOs.

He said that Nicols criticises the law "because they already know that they will not be able to continue financing the gangs of violence, the violent groups, with impunity. They will not be able to continue financing them with NGO facades."

He explained that it is "through facades that they call NGOs, organizations that depend completely on the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the State Department, with which they finance all the actions of destabilization and violence against the people of Venezuela."

Rodríguez pointed out that "almost 100% of the financing for violence came from a legal loophole we had in Venezuela."

"There was no law that regulated, registered, or established the parameters for the so-called NGOs," he said, commenting that this law and others that the National Assembly has been working on through the Permanent Commission on Internal Policy and the Permanent Commission on Culture, are part of a package in favor of maintaining peace, sovereignty, and the independence of the country.

happy NGOs

He said that many NGOs in the country, such as the Venezuelan Red Cross, cultural and sports organizations, "are happy with the enactment of this law, because they will rather benefit from the entire process of registration, regulation and financing through the law."

Venezuela, target of violence

He also pointed out that Venezuela has become the epicenter and experiment of actions resulting from hatred and violence, from an omnipresent element, such as social networks and cyberfascism.

He condemned that in Miami, over the weekend, they presented children calling for the assassination of President Maduro and for Venezuela to be invaded.

He therefore urged the establishment of mechanisms to prevent bot farms from inoculating the population "with dangerous viruses."

Law in consultation

For his part, the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, commented that "the law against fascism, neo-fascism and similar expressions is being consulted, which proposes to cover digital fascism, to punish people who use technology to call for hatred and murder.

He added that this consultation was carried out in the 23 states plus Caracas, and they are currently receiving proposals from each of these sectors.

  1. In Venezuela, until recently, there had been no legislation for the protection of social health and the virus of hatred, of destabilization of foreign geopolitical interests, and under the idea of Western imperialist "Democracy" we had left our country with "loopholes" through which the dominant regional powers made our sovereignty vulnerable. This cannot continue like this; therefore it is time for us to correct ourselves and be, "As the Bible says" "Repairers of those loopholes." Amen.
