The national government attends to the registered emergency, this Sunday, in the Antonio José de Sucre municipality of the Barinas state after the flooding of the Socopó and Quiu rivers.
Minister Jorge Arreaza, accompanied by the commander of the Integral Defense Operational Zone 32-Barinas, among other Fanb authorities, arrived in Socopó to review the state of the retaining wall that was washed away by the Socopó river.
In addition, they inspected high-risk areas and took measures to avoid major situations.
Among them the rehabilitation of the 11.5 meter wall that was undermined this Sunday.
The information was released through a message on social networks.
"The Bolivarian Government immediately responds to the emergency due to the rains that occurred in the state of Barinas from Socopó. With the presence of the minister and political liaison Jorge Arreaza, the mayor Salvador Guerrero, Commanders of the Zodi and the GNB," was published on the PSUV account in Barinas on the social network X.
Earlier, Mayor Guerrero specified that an alert was issued along with the security and prevention organizations that remain deployed along the river.
