The People's Power Minister for Food, M/G Leal Tellería, inspected the progress of the Campo Soberano Fair in the city of Caracas. In the company of the mayoress of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, he detailed the products that are available to the people at affordable prices in these days.
The minister stressed that the products offered at the fairs are locally produced to ensure that the people purchase them at prices of solidarity. "This is achieved thanks to the fact that we have a people that always accompanies the distribution, and now the provision of food," he said.
More than 3 tons of protein are distributed at the Sovereign Field Fairs that take place this Saturday in Caracas.
During a broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the mayoress of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, specified that these days are carried out simultaneously in different parishes of the city.
"We are from the Santa Rosalia parish, where the participation of the people is the main force, present with local production, such as vegetables, fruits, and vegetables, at low cost," said the mayor.
He added that the National Institute of Nutrition is present in the activity, which together with the Local Supply and Production Committees (Clap), are serving families in Caracas.
He also announced that 100% of the communities in 11 parishes were served through the Claps, and full coverage of the Capital District is scheduled for Tuesday.
These Sovereign Field Fairs are held this weekend throughout the national territory, as part of the attention policies of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
