Deputy Diosdado Cabello, through his program Con el Mazo Dando, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, announced that the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) successfully completed the registration of its candidates for the elections next November, which they will elect governors, mayors and Municipal Councils.
“Chavismo is ready! We are on our way to victory!” said the socialist leader. “We have fulfilled our promise,” he stressed, while describing as a victory the “legitimate result of a consultation with our people,” which was carried out through the Open Primary Elections.
Cabello said that the candidates who are now supported by the Great Patriotic Pole "are the candidates of the homeland, including people from the opposition," since in his opinion these candidates also represent the interests of that sector of the population.
“Take out the account, Mr. opponent, Mrs. opponent, who defends you the most? These are the candidates who show their faces, those who do not leave the country, ”said the deputy of the National Assembly.
“These elections are going to be a marker. We are going to elections number 29, ”said Cabello, while recalling that of the 28 that are going, 26 have been won by the forces of the Bolivarian revolution.
Extension for the opposition
The vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, said he was calm on behalf of the party he represents before the timely registration of all its candidates, but that now the uncertainty will remain on the side of the opposition, which decided belatedly to participate in the elections.
“They have asked for an extension and they gave it to them. They are surely asking for another extension, ”said Cabello, recalling that among the oppositions they are having a hard time getting internal agreements for the elections.
