This is the second maritime tragedy that occurs in less than a month, between Güiria and Trinidad, when a new boat is transferred illegally. On April 23, the “Jhonailys José” boat left with 34 crew members, which sank in the Boca de Dragón sector.

On that occasion, 11 people were rescued alive and two deceased. To date, the whereabouts of the other 21 missing persons, most of them women, are unknown, and now another 21 people are added, many of whom are men.
