This Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) announced the list of deputies who will make up the preliminary commission of the Judicial Nominations Committee to appoint the new magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
It will be coordinated by parliamentarian Giuseppe Alesandro Martín Alessandrello Cimadevilla, and is made up of 10 others: Gladys Requena, Rosa León, Génesis Garvett, Julio García Zerpa, Arnaldo Sánchez, Francisco Torrealba, José Gregorio Correa, Timoteo Zambrano, Luis Parra and Óscar Rondero.
This commission must evaluate the names of those who will definitively integrate the committee, together with 10 representatives of the Venezuelan people, explained the president of the National Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, reported AVN.
In last Tuesday's session, the AN sanctioned the reform to the Organic Law of the TSJ, which will reduce the number of magistrates to 20.
These changes in the legal order are part of the judicial revolution, approved by the Council of State in mid-2021.
