With the 197th edition of the social program "The Hand of God" held this Friday, the Social Development Secretariat of the state of Falcón has registered 1.480 services in 1.268 cases so far in 2026.
A total of 735 adults and 533 children from the 25 municipalities have been supported with specialized studies, technical aids, medicines, laboratories, corrective lenses, medical supplies and financial contributions.
The program, which is promoted by Governor Víctor Clark and the president of the El Niño Falcón Foundation, Jessica Perozo de Clark, held its weekly session in the "María Mercedes Colina" Auditorium of the governor's office to continue complying with the social protection policies and priority attention to health implemented by the Bolivarian Government.
The activity made it possible to provide concrete and immediate answers to 72 beneficiaries, who required highly complex studies, specialized treatments and technical aids to improve their quality of life.
In this edition, the assistance day covered the care of prioritized cases from 10 municipalities of the regional geography, including Silva, Buchivacoa, Federación, Falcón, Bolívar, Mauroa, Dabajuro, Zamora, Colina and Miranda.
Those in charge of the program assured that through coordination with the public health network and the State's social assistance funds, they financed magnetic resonance imaging, tomography, echocardiograms, electroencephalograms and breast ultrasounds.
In addition, they provided medications for chronic and acute illnesses, medical supplies, laboratory tests, coverage for specialized consultations, contributions for the acquisition of surgical instruments, as well as the direct delivery of wheelchairs, canes and walkers for people with reduced mobility.
“This is the third time a specialist doctor has treated my child, so I am very happy and I ask God to bless them and that they continue with these activities,” said Egladys Díaz from the municipality of Los Taques.
From the central area of Falcón, Mrs. Nelly García, from the municipality of Miranda, expressed: “Being taken into account in this beautiful program called The Hand of God, represents for me and my family a true gesture of love and human sensitivity.”
