Venezuelan oil exports to the United States averaged 451.000 barrels per day through the week ending September 18, representing a 228% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
This upturn in shipments began at the start of this year, following the restoration of trade relations and from the application of a licensing flexibility framework that enables the exchange of hydrocarbons, under the financial supervision of the authorities in Washington.
In cumulative terms, Venezuela has sent 117 million barrels of crude oil to the United States during 2026. The figure reflects a 129% increase compared to the total exported in 2025 and constitutes the largest volume recorded since 2018.
