Following the historic oil agreement between the Venezuelan and US governments, the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, reported that the development of the 17 fields represents the exploitation of more than 65 billion barrels of oil, guaranteeing a very significant impact on the country's economic growth.
“What the development of these fields means for the country is that we will have an investment of more than 100 billion dollars (…) which for Venezuela will represent more than 209 billion in taxes over the period,” the state channel reported.
In this regard, he reported that this money is injected for social investment, such as improvements in hospitals, education, strengthening of community power, entrepreneurship, culture and health; all linked to the taxes collected from oil revenue.
Finally, I would like to point out that this agreement with the United States represents a very important step in the cooperative relationship between both nations, aimed at leveraging technology and capital investment for development and production in Venezuelan oil fields.
Venezuela and the United States reached a historic energy agreement which will boost the reactivation of the national hydrocarbon industry. Through a statementThe government announced that the initiative will facilitate a massive flow of strategic investments to rebuild and modernize the country's energy infrastructure.
According to the official statement, "this initiative is a product of the strengthening of the relationship between Venezuela and the United States, and will facilitate a significant flow of investments aimed at the recovery and reconstruction of strategic infrastructure."
The plan includes the development of 12 key oil fields with private sector participation, estimating a production potential of 50 billion barrels. The proposal requires over $100 billion in capital and is projected to contribute more than $209 billion in taxes to the nation. These figures support the government's goal of transforming resources into sustainable economic development and consolidating the region's energy stability.
