Venezuela develops agenda to attract investment and boost exports

Deputy Minister Marynna Saatdjian met with representatives from Brazil, the EU, the US, and Vietnam to review trade agendas and cooperation.

The Deputy Minister of International Trade, Marynna Saatdjian, is developing a work agenda to showcase the country's export offerings in the global market and attract new investments that will strengthen the national economy.

To that end, the official held meetings with the Brazilian ambassador, Gilvania Maria de Oliveira, as well as with the Chargé d'Affaires of the European Union (EU), Pierre-Henri Helleputte, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, he met with the commercial attachés of the United States Embassy, ​​Alexander Hawkins; and of the Vietnamese Embassy, ​​Quang Duong; in order to review their respective trade agendas and boost cooperation.

Saatdjian also forged alliances with the International Center for Productive Investment (Ciip), the Foreign Trade Bank (Bancoex), FundaBancoex and the Ministry of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture with the aim of promoting productive projects and coordinating financing and training programs.

Furthermore, the vice minister continued with the automation of the Single Window for Foreign Trade (Vuce), a platform that allows centralizing, managing and simplifying all the procedures, permits and documents required by Venezuelan state institutions for import and export operations.

The official also participated in the forum "Stock Market, engine of financing for exports," which was organized by the Caracas Stock Exchange (BVC), in which she evaluated alternative stock market financing schemes and accounting mechanisms aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the export sector.
