President Delcy Rodríguez visited the pig and poultry production units located in the Caricuao parish of Caracas on Tuesday, where she highlighted the promotion of productive projects led by young Venezuelans and aimed at supplying the communities.
During the tour of the Training and Production Center, the national leader highlighted the participation of young people in initiatives related to food production and the productive economy.
“I am very impressed by what I am seeing here at the Training and Production Center in this ecological parish of Caricuao. Very impressed because these are productive projects by young people seeking a truly productive economy driven by the youth of Venezuela to satisfy their interests, their concerns, but also their dreams for the future,” she added.
He noted that the products generated in these spaces are destined for the community at reduced prices, and highlighted the production of eggs, chicken and pork.
“This community produces goods to sell at reduced prices to the community of Caricuao. The Minister of National Commerce informs me that they offer 60% off. They have the products: eggs, chickens, and pork.”
Similarly, he highlighted the agricultural practices developed at the center, including organoponic planting, regenerative agriculture, and the use of bio-organic fertilizers.
In this regard, the president stressed the importance of promoting production mechanisms that guarantee healthy food for the population, and emphasized the relationship between food and health, while also expressing the need to strengthen policies aimed at the comprehensive well-being of the population.
"We always want to take care of the health of our population—their physical health, their mental health, and, in this case, their food. What we put in our mouths is what will affect our bodies," he stated.
During the day, the Venezuelan president congratulated the young people involved in the productive projects and recognized the initiatives promoted by the Ministry of National Commerce to incorporate new generations into the country's economic activities.
