President Nicolás Maduro announced the suspension of the gas agreement with Trinidad and Tobago, following a proposal from the leadership of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and PDVSA.
The head of state explained that in the face of threats to convert Trinidad and Tobago "On the aircraft carrier of the supremacists of the US empire against Venezuela and South America, I have approved the precautionary measure of immediate suspension of all the effects and the agreements in this agreement. That is why I have decided to take this decision. What the supremacists want is Venezuela's riches," Maduro insisted.
"I approved the precautionary measure of suspending the agreement and requested that the case be referred to the Council of State, the Supreme Court of Justice, and the National Assembly to take structural measures in this matter," he stated.
The president insisted that the government of Trinidad and Tobago has been given evidence that the United States is working with the CIA behind the military provocation against Venezuela.

Earlier, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez announced that the board of directors of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and PDVSA decided to propose to President Maduro the immediate dismissal of the Macro Energy Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

He asserted that Venezuela is free of coca leaf and cocaine production, thanks to the Bolivarian Government's efforts to intercept drug trafficking attempting to cross from Colombia.
"Of the small percentage of the 100% of cocaine produced in Colombia... barely 5% attempts to pass through Venezuela, and of that 5%, we're already capturing almost all of it and burning and destroying it. A great effort. With evidence, public, notorious," he stated.
