On Productive Engines Balance Sheet 2025During a meeting in Caracas, President Nicolás Maduro announced that the Great Housing Mission Venezuela had delivered 5 million 258 thousand homes throughout the country.
The president highlighted that this achievement reflects the growth of the construction sector, which has benefited from a significant boost in the national production of materials, reaching 80% domestic manufacturing.
Maduro stated that the goal is to reach 8 million homes by 2031, consolidating a social development model that guarantees decent housing for Venezuelan families.
National production and new goals
The head of state indicated that cement production registered a growth of 14%, which allowed progress towards the goal of substituting imports and strengthening the local industry.
He also announced that by 2026, 100% national production of construction materials is expected to be achieved, for both public and private works.
Accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, Maduro detailed that during the year they delivered 20 thousand works within the framework of the Obratón program, including schools, high schools, health centers, squares, parks, sports fields and community centers.
The president also asked his team to continue with the Asphalt Plan, as part of the road and public works projects that directly benefit the population.
Maduro recalled that after the 2026 national popular consultations, around 40 community projects will be derived, which will be integrated into the construction engine as part of the 14 productive engines of the Venezuelan economy.
