The national government has delivered 5.322 land titles to the peasant people

Venezuela has the largest flock of Assaf sheep on the entire continent

As part of the celebration of the 167th anniversary of the Federal War in Venezuela, the acting president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that 5.322 land titles have been delivered to farmers throughout the national territory.

During a visit to the "Ubre Project," located in the state of Miranda, the acting president highlighted the importance of this day, which symbolizes the effort to strengthen the agricultural sector and recognize the work of those who cultivate the land in Venezuela.

The awarding of these titles is a significant step towards social justice and the empowerment of the rural population for food sovereignty and the well-being of farmers.

In this event filled with farm workers, a formal land title was presented to Ninoska Romero, a peasant woman, representing the struggle of peasant women in the country.

Largest flock of sheep on the continent

During the event, Rodríguez highlighted the country's important achievement by announcing that the largest flock of Assaf sheep in the entire continent is located in Venezuelan territory, a fact that underscores the capacity and resilience of the people, despite adversity.

"Imagine, a country blockaded, besieged and threatened, and Venezuela showing what we Venezuelans are capable of," the acting head of state pointed out, highlighting the importance of this achievement in the current context.

Rodríguez emphasized that this success is a clear demonstration of the potential of Venezuelan agriculture and the strength of its people.

The acting president also called for collaboration between the public and private sectors to maximize production efforts. "Let's then, just as we have a scientific-farmer alliance, let's also forge an alliance with the private and farming sectors. That is productive unity," she said, emphasizing the need to work together to boost the country's agricultural development.

Strengthening food sovereignty

The official in charge called for a Great National Productive Union to strengthen food sovereignty, highlighting the importance of strengthening the country's food sovereignty.

"I know they are all over the country delivering fair land titles, practically 168.000 hectares. This is social justice for our people," said Acting President Rodríguez, recalling the Government's commitment to farmers and agricultural production.

The interim president drew a comparison between the achievements of Commander Hugo Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro, noting that the legacy of both leaders inspired a new era of development and progress in the country. "We have taken off," she affirmed, expressing her satisfaction with the collaborative work carried out by the economic team, represented by the Vice President for Economy and Finance, Calixto Ortega, and the Governor of Miranda State, Elio Serrano.

He explained to the assembled farmers the need to defend sovereignty over the territory and national production, emphasizing that a productive economy must be a priority. "Defending production and a productive economy are fundamental to guaranteeing food security in our country," he stated.

Maximum support

In her speech, the acting president also mentioned the importance of integrating diverse forms of economy, such as the communal economy, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between industrialists and large producers.

"I have called for the Great National Productive Union, with the communal economy, with the entrepreneurial economy, with the economy of industrialists, of large producers and of the peasant union, so that all of us, together, can guarantee national production, the fundamental thing, food," he stated.

This call for unity resonates at a crucial moment for Venezuela, where cooperation between farmers, entrepreneurs, and industrialists is essential to face current challenges, ensure food sovereignty, and guarantee the well-being of the Venezuelan people.

Furthermore, Rodríguez proposed the consolidation of a new economic model that integrates the strength of the communal economy with the productive private sectors.

The acting president explained that the goal is to neutralize the financial siege that has limited the inflow of foreign currency, transforming the efforts of the countryside into protein and products accessible to the people, with a clear vision towards exports to strengthen the country's reserves.

He called for national unity focused on production, emphasizing that economic progress translates into social well-being. "In your hardworking hands lies the construction of a democratic and just Venezuela."

He extended the invitation to all sectors of the country, to those who think differently, to join in the defense of economic independence, under a framework of respect and Bolivarian consciousness.

He emphasized that "as a people, Venezuela will prevail in unity, and will continue marching along the path of economic development, with justice and equality."

He also noted that on Thursday, February 19, the economic transformation that has taken place along the Caracas-La Guaira Highway was evident, both "from north to south and from east to west." This is due to the socio-productive projects that have been developed for the communities along that corridor and for the capital city.

Rodríguez affirmed alongside the local people that the Venezuelan people can indeed defeat the economic blockade that has been imposed on the nation, stating: "We are going to win this battle, we are fighting it (...) we are fighting it together with the hands of those on the ground who are putting their heart and soul into bringing food to our people, in a fair way."

He explained that this is part of the production chain through the promotion of social food programs, Open Air Markets and the Protein Plan.
