"Honor to whom honor deserves", is a famous phrase that derives in exalting the trajectory of any person in the field that was developed, precisely this falls as a ring to the finger for Luis Mendoza, for many the best Venezuelan soccer player of all time.
In order to honor Mendocita, a concept is working that can catapult his history forever, since a procession led by the Venezuelan journalist, Freddy Rosas, has the idea of renaming the UCV Olympic stadium and giving it the name of Luis Mendoza with the mission of extolling the figure of the historical Venezuelan player.

At just 15 years old, Mendoza made his debut in the First Division, having the record for the youngest player to play in the top flight. He passed through Maiderense, Santo Tomas de Aquino, Deportivo Italia, Deportivo Galicia, Portuguesa, Students from Mérida and Caracas, being in all an indisputable figure, his leadership from midfield was unmatched, he was that talented "10" that every team wanted.
"The reason for this idea is that Luis Mendoza has been the best player in Venezuela, at all times and it is thought to be a good reason, he fulfilled each selection process, marked a before and after in Venezuelan football," he said. Freddy Rosas has no idea about giving the name of the player to the Olympian.

It is clear that this is a long process which merits a lot of effort, changing the name of a stadium is not an easy job, but it is clear that Mendocita is a legend and this can be a plus. First, from the UCV they must approve the idea and from there go step by step. It would not be the first time that a stadium changed its name, since the now Hermanos Ghersi stadium was previously called the Olympic Stadium in Maracay.
