About a thousand families in the municipality of Tucupita, Delta Amacuro state, benefited this Friday, August 14, after a distribution of subsidized food that served four parishes and communes in the state.
The event was held simultaneously from 8:00 a.m. through a combined approach that included mobile warehouses, agricultural fairs and the Sovereign Field Fairs, guaranteeing access to basic food basket products in the sectors themselves.
The operation was strategically distributed across the parishes of San José, Monseñor Argimiro García, Leonardo Ruiz Pineda, and Juan Millán.
During the activity, the inhabitants of the areas addressed were able to acquire various items, among which the sale of proteins such as meat and chicken, carbohydrates, fresh vegetables and greens stood out, in addition to the marketing of chicha, one of the products with the highest demand by the attendees.
The distribution logistics were under the responsibility of Wabinokoida Delta, a socially owned company of the entity, with the operational support of the Delta Amacuro State Government and the support of entities attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Food such as Pdval, Mercal, Fundaproal and the National Institute of Nutrition (INN).
