Tree trimming and pruning in Tucupita protects power lines from the "Super Niño" phenomenon

The work is part of the national contingency plan to protect infrastructure and raise public awareness about energy conservation.

With the execution of strategic tree trimming and pruning work, government authorities in the municipality of Tucupita, Delta Amacuro state, initiated an operational plan to prevent interference or damage to regional power lines.

The deployment is part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan announced at the national level by the acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, specifically designed to counteract the effects of the "Super Niño" weather phenomenon on the national electrical system.

The day's activities in the state were led by Minister Yelitze Santaella and the Secretary General of the Government of Delta Amacuro, Suyiban Bermúdez, accompanied by various regional and municipal authorities.

During the deployment, the official delegation conducted inspection tours through various sectors of the Delta capital, including the San Rafael parish, with the fundamental purpose of guiding the population on the necessary prevention measures in the face of the climatic variations expected throughout the country.

Officials issued an urgent appeal to the community to use electricity rationally and efficiently in their homes. Key recommendations included turning off lights and televisions when not in use, as well as unplugging chargers—essential measures to maintain service stability during the environmental emergency.
