A public service plan for peak and pruning, energy saving and comprehensive cleaning in 21 communities of Tucupita was agreed between the municipality and spokespeople of four communes of the Delta capital last Tuesday afternoon.
The agreement was finalized during a working session in which preparations for the National Popular Consultation on October 18 were also evaluated, reported the mayor of Tucupita, Asnardo Rodríguez.
These communities have prioritized tree trimming and pruning, canal cleaning, and awareness-raising due to the current situation in the country caused by the El Niño phenomenon, which forced a redistribution of electricity in several states, as well as the recent floods in Tucupita that warrant more prevention.
The meeting was attended by members of the communes Las 6 Fuerzas Revolucionarias, Alexis Marcano, Nueva Época and Lucha, Victoria and Paz Deltana, who established a schedule for a "house by house" approach and environmental sanitation days in the territorial axis.
