As part of the commemoration of the 98th anniversary of the birth of the remembered chronicler and humorist Aníbal Nazoa, the official inauguration of the "Hermanos Nazoa" Popular Chair of Humor will take place this Thursday, September 17, 2026.
The meeting will take place from 4 to 6 pm, in the Hayatí space, located in the Eje del Vivir Bien of Bellas Artes (Plaza Los Museos), under the direction of José Leonardo Riera, president of the Aquiles Nazoa Movement.
The meeting will take as a reference the work Puerta de Caracas (published by Fundarte) to pay homage to the urban memory of Nazoa and simultaneously celebrate the birthday of the living cultural heritages José Nicolás Agüero and Zoraya Sanz, along with the youthful talent of Mc Khozer.
Conceived under the philosophy of “radical tenderness” and laughter as a trench, in the words of Riera Bravo, this chair is established as a permanent bimonthly training space focused on reclaiming fraternal irony and critical thinking as tools for popular emancipation.
The day will offer an agenda that integrates poetry, music, rap and chronicle, beginning with the reading of the constitutive act of the chair, to give way to a youth block with presentations by Tyburcio, Viani Márquez and Eduardo López, followed by a segment of teachers with presentations by Sid Marrero, Benjamín Guzmán and Claret Vallés, concluding at 6:00 pm with a “spiritual toast” and the collective celebration.
These meetings are important for the communities, because in this way they make known who the Nazoa were for Venezuela.
