From July 11 to 24, the country's 443 nuclei, distributed in 24 states and 283 municipalities, covering more than 50% of Venezuelan parishes, will be the scene of Expo El Sistema 2022, the massive event in which more than 1 million children and young people to show the world how the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela works, covering its artistic, pedagogical, technical, social and administrative details.
The public will be able to enjoy more than 1000 presentations nationwide, as well as various exhibitions and educational activities.
Each nucleus will offer its community concerts and recitals by its different orchestras, choirs and popular groups: children's and youth symphony orchestras, Alma Llanera Program orchestras, Latin-Caribbean orchestras, rock orchestras, big band jazz, choirs symphonies, white hands choirs, groups from the Special Education Program, chamber music ensembles; They will also explain how it works and what activities the technical, administrative, security and social protection personnel perform, so that each visitor understands what the operation of a training center involves.
Professor Jesús Morín, sectoral director of Musical Academic Training at El Sistema, explained that this great exhibition “consists of each nucleus with its modules of the Simón Bolívar Program, being able to reveal the complete activity of the institution, through artistic, academic and demonstration shows. pedagogical information on how classes are given to children, in addition we also seek to make known the functioning of other areas that are not shown in concerts open to the public, such as, for example, what is the role of a prop man (a job that we have done chair) how to organize an orchestra or what function a state manager fulfills”.
“We will also show how the area of goods works, which is very important, because many people believe that El Sistema gives away the instruments and that is not the case, these are public goods of the Venezuelan State, which are assigned on loan to each child, which also implies monitoring its proper use, counting on preventive maintenance and it is important that the community knows it, that they find out about our administrative mechanisms and also that they know our committee for the prevention of children and adolescents, whose members will present their role, how they are made up and their to act, and thus each one of the areas”, added the teacher Morín.

Expo El Sistema has a dual purpose, on the one hand it seeks to open up to the community, media of communication, parents and representatives, public and private company; as well as to anyone who wants to go to know the details that a nucleus covers; the idea is that when the exhibition ends, the entire country knows how El Sistema works. “With this exhibition we are going to open ourselves to the external, to the community, to the entire country and on the other hand to the internal to evaluate how each nucleus of El Sistema is advancing. It is important to highlight that 100% of our children and young people are going to present themselves. We will show what is done in El Sistema in its purest essence, which is a nucleus, just as last year there was a public demonstration with more than 10 musicians in the Courtyard of the Academies with the World's Largest Orchestra of the Guinness Record, now we are going to show a million children in their everyday spaces”, emphasized Morin.
