More than 7 thousand visits have been recorded since the inauguration of La Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa, on December 13, until this Sunday.
About 300 daily visits, approximately, there were during December, until the 29th, when it was open every day; in addition to another 200 every day, when it reopened this January 16, from Thursday to Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It is really an attraction for visitors, who express their desire to know the history of that hacienda, a former presidential residence, located in La Carlota, east of the capital, and, above all, to know some anecdotes of the presidents who were there.
Half an hour is the duration of the guided tour, which takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Then, the programming goes from storytelling, theater and others, amidst bamboos and lush trees that are currently being studied by experts in the field to identify their type and characteristics, although their workers do not hesitate to say that they have been planted for more than 100 years in the middle of the hacienda.
The attractions. This Sunday, Miguel and Ángeles were the guides in charge of welcoming the visitors. On the tour they recalled that the works are national heritage, most of the colonial era.
The salons, the chapel, the furniture and the oils by Manuel Cabré, Arturo Michelena, Tito Salas, Tomás Golding and Pedro Ángel González are some of the exalted by the guides, although the public asks for more of the history of those paintings.
The hall of the council of ministers and a small room that President Hugo Chávez ordered to be remodeled next to it, were the most attractive for their simplicity: a bed, a desk, a bathroom and a window were their places of reflection.
The pool and bowling areas will open soon, where there will be a restaurant for meetings and gatherings.
In a micro posted on his Twitter social network account, the Minister of Culture, Ernesto Villegas, urged the people to visit La Casona Cultural: “Achilles, with his simplest things, are waiting for you, all Venezuelans and Venezuelans from all walks of life, baseball team, political preferences, to the entire family of Venezuela without distinction, so that they go through their gates and enjoy a beautiful landscape, the history that these walls enclose and also the cultural dynamics that we will be carrying forward ”
