This Friday the country will witness the first edition of Miss Latin America Venezuela 2019, whose final gala will be hosted by Marie Claire Harp and Melisa Rauseo, according to sources from the journalist Newmaker Quintero and the event's general producer, Oswaldo Santana.
The contest will feature 27 candidates who have been preparing since May. The event will take place at the facilities of the Galician Brotherhood, in Caracas. For this selection, a virtual casting was held since January, where 200 girls from all over the country participated.
During a visit to the ÚN newsroom, Quintero and Santana highlighted that for the grand final, the girls will wear designs by Alejandro Fajardo, Julio Mora, Honicer Sandoval, Wilfredo Camacho, Hugo Espina and Carlos Tavera, among others. While the crown of the new beauty queen is a creation of the goldsmith George Wittels.
The jury includes Prince Julio César, president of Miss Earth, and journalist Orlando Suárez, collaborator of this newspaper, among other personalities. The contest will not be broadcast by national television media. However, it can be seen through social networks. In the Instagram accounts @mlvenezuela and on YouTube Miss Latin America Venezuela 2019 there is also audiovisual material that shows the applicants in a kind of reality during their preparation.
The winner will represent Venezuela in the Miss Latin America to be held on September 21 in Panama.
