Rosalía will receive the 2026 Billboard Hall of Fame Award in recognition of "an extraordinary career defined by musical innovation, a singular artistic vision and an influence that has transcended genres, languages and borders," Telemundo and Billboard announced Thursday, EFE reported.
The Spanish artist will receive the award during the Billboard Awards gala, which will be held on October 22 in Miami, and will present almost 50 awards ranging from Latin pop and tropical music to regional Mexican music.
The organization highlighted Rosalía as "one of the most distinctive and influential artists in global music" and noted that her latest album 'Lux' achieved five No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts.
One of the best of 2026
That album earned the artist her first top 10 on the Billboard 200, debuting at number four, and was recognized as one of the best albums of the year by publications such as Billboard, The New York Times, Pitchfork and The New Yorker.
Telemundo and Billboard highlighted Rosalía's extraordinary career since 'El mal querer', which they described as "her breakthrough album", and emphasized that she "reimagined flamenco for a new generation and established the Spanish singer, songwriter and producer as an artist unafraid to shape tradition from her own creative lens".
His tour has ended
That album was followed by 'Motomami', which pushed the singer's limits "even further" and earned her her first entry on the Billboard 200 chart.
Rosalía recently concluded her LUX Tour, completing 57 sold-out dates.
