Mística Núñez did not win the Top Model challenge at Miss World 2026, which crowned its continental winners on August 27. The Venezuelan beauty made a strong impression on stage, placing in the top 5 for modeling in the Americas and the Caribbean.
The Venezuelan beauty queen, like her fellow contestants, made three appearances and stood out for her elegant runway walk. Her most striking moment was during the World Designer Award parade, where she wore a creation by Venezuelan designer Alex Apóstol.
"A tribute that transcends fashion: mysticism and elegance unite in this spectacular dress to celebrate the anniversary of Miss World. The Vietnamese temple embroideries pay homage to the rich culture of the host country, carrying with them the essence of its history," the Miss Venezuela Organization highlighted on Instagram regarding the dress.
"Every detail is a bridge between nations, a symbol of respect and unity that shines on the most important stage in the world," they also highlighted regarding the outfit.
With local designers
In her other two appearances, Mística Núñez modeled creations by local designers that highlighted her figure and her ability to move on stage.
Despite her strong performance, the athlete from Falcón was unable to win the race. The top five in the Americas was completed by the United States, Colombia, French Guiana, and the Dominican Republic. It was the Dominican Republic that ultimately took the victory.
Mysticism and haute couture

Alongside Dominican Joheirry Mola, representing the Americas and the Caribbean, Indira Ampiot from France was crowned Top Model for Europe, while Bảo Ngọc Lê Nguyễn from Vietnam did the same for Asia and Oceania and Tamunosoye Karibi-George from Nigeria stood out for Africa.
The challenge is not over yet.
From that quartet, which has already secured its place in the top 40 of the competition, a single winner will be chosen in the coming days, who will thus achieve its passage to the top 20 of the competition.
The Miss World 2026 final gala will take place on September 5th at 2-4 Square (a large public square located in the center of the coastal city of Nha Trang, Vietnam). Venezuela has not won this competition since 2011.
