With the incorporation of state-of-the-art construction technologies, the repair and adaptation work on the drainage canal at the Planta Centro Thermoelectric Plant, located in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, has been completed.

The Vice President for Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, along with the Minister of Electric Power, Rolando Alcalá, verified the ongoing work and confirmed the complete completion of the projects.

The work included the placement of concrete bag columns, the construction of containment screens with a special high-tech coating that solidifies upon contact with water to provide greater protection to the concrete, in addition to the rectification of the drainage slope and the enabling of two new discharge lines.

The work was carried out with Venezuelan labor and the construction technologies used were previously tested in the states of Táchira and Apure.

Currently, the plant is progressing through the testing and commissioning phases with the purpose of ensuring the operational stability of the energy complex and protecting the coastal land from erosion.
