Flooding and fallen trees due to Sunday's rains in Carabobo

The worst affected areas were Morón and southern Valencia

Heavy rainfall recorded on Sunday night in much of Carabobo caused severe flooding in the municipalities of Juan José Mora (coast) and Valencia.

In Morón, specifically in the Las Parcelas sector, on Bolívar and Ramiro Romero streets, water was reported entering and exiting several homes, in addition to fallen trees that partially blocked traffic on the roads.

In Valencia, flooding was reported on Sesquicentenaria Avenue, the Los Caobos distributor (El Ahorcado bridge) up to San Juan Vianney Avenue, the city center and several areas in the south of the municipality.

The flow of rainwater in the distributor prevented vehicles from reaching the Dr. Enrique Tejera Hospital City stop in Valencia.

In response to the storm that hit the coast and the municipalities that make up Greater Valencia, authorities were deployed throughout the state to prevent any contingencies.
