The Network of Parliamentarians for Peace was installed in Barinas

They will activate the street social agenda and discuss essential issues in the communities

The State Network of Parliamentarians for Peace was installed in Barinas during a session at the Barinas State Legislative Council (CLEB) with the aim of advancing and strengthening dialogue and national reconciliation.

The commission was chaired by the deputies of the National Assembly for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV): Naybeth Berrios, Yudith Betancourt and Coromoto Flores. Representing the CLEB: Amalia Pereira and Norelys Ramírez (Democratic Action) and Keyssi Gómez (PSUV).

Berrios explained that they will promote all levels of women's participation, establishing a street social agenda. In addition, they will promote areas for the meeting of everyday life and in favor of peace.

She mentioned as another of the tasks the promotion of laws with gender equality principles sanctioned by the AN, so this space is conducive to initiatives from popular parliaments and community organizations.

Legislator Keissy Gómez stressed that the main mission of the network is to fulfill the discussion of essential issues in the communities and attend to the basic needs of the population.

He said that they will work hand in hand with the popular power organizing, listening to the proposals that will be submitted to the corresponding instances.
