To alleviate the economic impact on families at the start of the new school year, the School Fair opened its doors in the José Félix Ribas square, known as El Estudiante, in the city of Barinas, offering items with savings of up to 30% compared to the private market.
The space was inaugurated by the Secretary General of the Government, Zenaida Gallardo; the Vice Minister of Social, Industrial and Commercial Promotion of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Carmen González; and the mayor of the city, Argenis Aldazoro.
During the opening, Gallardo explained that this first day will remain active in the capital and will then move on to different municipalities throughout the state.
For her part, Vice Minister González specified that this activity is part of a national plan that includes more than 120 school fairs throughout the country —of which 25% have already been activated— with the direct participation of entrepreneurs, communes and local producers, supported by the Emprender Juntos platform and the national banking system.
Authorities emphasized that with this deployment, the regional and national Executive seeks to guarantee access to uniforms, footwear and school supplies at fair prices, while simultaneously boosting the territorial productive apparatus.
